The Core Workflow
Follow our streamlined process to take a project from initial concept to a final, professional report with confidence.
STEP 1
Create a Project
All work starts with a project. Click 'New Project', fill in the client and site details, and select a status folder like 'In Progress'. This creates your main project container.
STEP 2
Add Sub-Projects (Optional)
Inside a project, create Sub-Project folders for different phases or sections (e.g., 'Phase 1 - Substructure', 'Phase 2 - Superstructure'). This keeps complex jobs organized.
STEP 3
Build Your Estimate
Create a new estimate and link it to the relevant project or sub-project. Use the AI Assistant or the Cost Database to add items to your worksheet.
STEP 4
Perform Takeoffs
Use the AI Takeoff tools. Upload a PDF, let the AI analyze it, or use the manual measurement tools. The generated quantities form the basis of your pricing.
STEP 5
Generate Schedules & Reports
Use the AI Scheduler to turn your BoQ into a program. Use the reporting tool to create professional client-facing documents like a BoQ or Tender Submission.

How to Best Use the System
Embrace the Hierarchy
For large projects, always start by creating a main project, then use 'Sub-Projects' to break down the work into manageable phases (e.g., Foundations, Frame, Finishes). Link your estimates to these specific sub-projects for granular cost tracking.
Trust the AI, Then Verify
Use the AI Takeoff and Scheduling tools to do the heavy lifting. They can save you hours of manual work. However, always cast an expert eye over the results to ensure they align with your project's specific requirements before submitting a tender.
Use the CRM Actively
The CRM is more than a contact list. Log every client email, call, and meeting in the 'Activity Feed' on the contact's page. This creates a complete audit trail and provides valuable context for your entire team.
Calibrate Drawings First
Before performing any manual measurements in the Takeoff tool, always use the 'Rescale' tool on a known dimension first. An accurate scale is the foundation of an accurate takeoff.
Build Your Database with the AI
When the AI Assistant suggests a price for a new item, always add it to your database. Over time, this will build a powerful, personalized cost library, making future estimates even faster.
